Am J Respir Crit Care Med published a Practice Recommendations in the Diagnosis, Management and Prevention of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning in Oct 2012. We are almost there to see CO poisoning again, Just some points for quick look:

– None of the  symptoms are  sensitive or specific in CO poisoning, but most common symptoms are: headache, dizziness, nausea/vomiting, confusion, fatigue, chest pain, shortness of breath, and loss of consciousness

Remember “cherry‐red” sign is not  a common sign in Co Poisoning!

– COHb levels < 3‐4% in nonsmokers and < 10% in smokers could be nl range
